About our speakers:
Richard Caldwell, Senior Virtualization Administrator, Franklin University
Richard Caldwell has led Franklin University’s virtualzation effort for two years. He has 25 years of IT experience in Systems Administration and Consulting. A graduate of DeVry University in Columbus, Richard worked with AT&T, Lucent Technologies, and Information Control Corporation prior to coming to Franklin University. A recent article in EdTech Magazine focused on Richard’s experience with virtualization in the Education market.
David Lawrence, Senior Systems Engineer, VMWare
Dave is an IT professional with 15 years of experience in the technology industry. He is currently employed as a Senior Systems Engineer at VMware. Prior to joining VMware, he has previously held engineering positions at EMC and Network Appliance. His previous roles entailed assisting customers with designing the best storage solution for the application need. Before entering the vendor world, he spent 7 years as a Windows, Virtualization and Storage Administrator at Limited Brands (Victoria’s Secret, Bath and Body Works, etc). His first virtualization project was a 120 server consolidation onto 8 hosts using VMware in 2001.
